1000 series main character
Industrial pure aluminum does not refer to pure metal aluminum, and sometimes industrial pure aluminum is listed as one of the alloys. Industrial pure aluminum contains a certain amount of iron and silicon and a small amount of other elements, therefore, industrial pure aluminum is not really pure aluminum.
The 1000 series aluminium alloy belongs to the industrial pure aluminium, which has the characteristics of low density, good electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, low latent heat of fusion, high light reflection coefficient, small thermal neutron absorption interface and beautiful appearance. Aluminium has good corrosion resistance due to a dense and strong oxide film on its surface in air, which prevents oxygen intrusion. 1000 series aluminium alloys are non-heat treatable reinforced aluminium alloys, which can only be hardened by cold work to improve strength, and are therefore of low strength.
Alu-Fe binary phase diagram
From the aluminium-iron binary phase diagram, it can be seen that the maximum solubility of iron in aluminium is 0.04%, when the iron content in aluminium is greater than 0.04%, it generates Al+FeAl3 eutectic, and when the iron content is greater than 1.8%, it generates FeAl3 and Al+FeAl3 eutectic.
Alu-Si binary phase diagram
From the aluminium-silicon binary phase diagram, it can be seen that silicon has a maximum solubility of 1.65% in aluminium, which decreases to less than 0.05% at room temperature. When the silicon content is greater than 12.5%, it produces Si as well as Al+Si eutectic
1000 Series aluminium main product mechanical property & chemical composition
Series 1 industrial aluminium sheet is often used in chemical industry containers, heat sinks, stampings, fan blades, nameplates and other products. In some occasions where both corrosion resistance and formability are required, but the strength requirement is not high, chemical equipment is its typical use.

The effect of 1000 series Aluminium Alloy Impurity Element
1000 series aluminium alloys are mainly composed of Aluminum, with small amounts of Fe, Si and other impurity element
The effect of Fe elements
Fe, Si and Alu can generate ternary compounds, they affect the aluminium alloy, have a greater impact on the mechanical properties, reduce the plasticity, and increase the recrystallisation temperature.
The effect of Si elements
Si and Fe are coexisting elements in aluminium, when there is an excess of Si, it exists in the free silicon state. it can make the aluminium alloy properties hard and brittle.
The effect of other impurity elements
1000 system in the aluminium alloy and a small amount of Cu, Zn, Mn, Ti and other impurity elements, these elements will reduce the electrical conductivity, Cu and Zn will also reduce the corrosion resistance of aluminium, Mn and Si, Fe formation of brittle phases, seriously affecting plasticity
