5083 / 5086 / 5754 plate and sheet from a DNV-approved mill, with EN 10204 test certificates.
The specimen mill test certificate below shows the layout and the measured values used on a
2022 shipment of 5083-H116 plate — the same format your surveyor will receive. Every shipment
leaves with its own DNV-witnessed MTC, issued under the producing mill’s current DNV Works
Approval. Additional class-society approvals (ABS · BV) and independent third-party witnessing
(SGS) are arranged per project on request.

Mill test certificate — the format your surveyor receives
The specimen below follows the certificate issued for an actual 2022 shipment of
5083-H116 plate, 8 × 2000 × 6000 mm, 10 pieces, 2.548 t. The chemistry, the five
tensile samples and the ASTM G67 / G66 corrosion results are the measured values from that
shipment. The producing facility name, certificate number, heat number and the surveyor’s
endorsement appear on the certificate issued for each individual order — this specimen shows
the layout you will receive.

We hereby certify that the material has been made by an approved process and has been
satisfactorily tested in accordance with DNV rules for classification. The undersigned DNV
surveyor, acting as independent third party, witnesses that the results shown above were
obtained from samples selected, prepared and tested at the producing facility. A certificate
witnessed in this way is equivalent to an EN 10204 type 3.2 inspection document.

Standard plate sizes and dimensional tolerances
Tolerance values below are the EN 485-3:2003 tables for hot-rolled plate, the table most
European marine specs reference. Where your project is written to ASTM B928 / ANSI H35.2 or
GB/T 3880, the applicable table differs slightly — we confirm it with the producing mill and
state it in the order acknowledgment.

| Mill-size plate | 8 – 50 mm | 2000 × 6000 mm — the size on most DNV-witnessed MTCs | Common export plate size, fits a 20′ container vertically.≈ 6.5 t per bundle in 5083. |

What the mill holds in standing — and what we arrange for your order
DNV is the approval the mill holds in standing. ABS and BV (additional class-society
approvals) and SGS (independent third-party witnessing) are arranged against your spec on
request, subject to the mill’s current approval status for your alloy, temper and
thickness.
Primary approval — held by the mill
5754 in O, 5052 in O, rolled plates 3 – 50 mm. This is the approval that governs every
order we quote.

class-society approvals (ABS · BV) and independent third-party witnessing (SGS), arranged on
request for specific projects, subject to the producing mill’s current approval status for
your alloy, temper and thickness. Confirmed in writing before any order is committed.
