WHAT WE SUPPLY

Marine plate and sheet, supplied mill-direct — 5xxx series with DNV-witnessed MTC.

A marine plate and sheet supplier built around one decision: every shipment leaves the producing mill with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate, and every batch we sell under DNV coverage is witnessed by the surveyor’s stamp on the MTC. The rest — grades, sizes, tolerances, packing — sits underneath that promise.

§02 — MILL-DIRECT SUPPLY

From the producing mill to your forwarder

Every plate and sheet we ship comes from our partner rolling mills. Each piece carries the producing mill’s roll mark, heat number, and EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate.

Step 01ORDER LOCKED
PO + 30% T/T deposit confirms the order. Grade / thickness / size / quantity / temper / delivery term are written into the PO — the producing mill plans the heat from these numbers.

Step 02PRODUCTION
Mill rolling + heat treatment at the partner mill. Plate is rolled to thickness, heat-treated to the specified temper (H116 / H321 / etc.), then levelled and cut to mill-standard size.

Step 03MTC ISSUED
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate issued per heat. Chemistry, tensile, yield, elongation, exfoliation / intergranular corrosion where required — all tied to the heat number printed on each plate.

Step 04QC CHECK
QC re-verifies thickness, edge, surface, and markings before packing. Independent of the mill’s own inspection.

Step 05EXPORT PACKING
ISPM-15 compliant packing for sea freight. Wooden pallet / skid, steel strapping, edge guards, waterproof wrapping, desiccant where needed. Mill-standard 20’GP load ≈ 18–22 t.

Step 06DOCUMENTS
Document set per shipment: MTC (3.1), commercial invoice, packing list, B/L, COO, CIQ / fumigation cert. DNV-witnessed MTC accompanies the order when the buyer is under DNV coverage.

§03 — DNV COVERAGE

DNV coverage for rolled-plate shipments

The producing mill is approved by DNV for the rolled-plate programme below. DNV-witnessed MTC means the surveyor stamps and signs the 3.1 certificate at the mill before the plate leaves.

DNV — held

Rolled plates in 5083 H116, thickness range 3–50 mm. Coverage shown on the certificate for each order.

Per-order issuance

DNV-witnessed MTC is issued per order, not pre-printed. The certificate carries the same heat number as the roll mark on each plate.

§04 — SIZE RANGE

Mill-standard sizes that move on regular cycle

Mill-standard sizes mean the plate is rolling now, not queued behind a custom order. If your project fits these dimensions, lead time and MOQ stay at the standard level. Custom sizes are quoted case by case.

Custom dimensions can be quoted — ask for a quote and we’ll confirm what’s possible against the producing mill’s production window.

§05 — TOLERANCES

Tolerances to EN 485-3:2003 — what the MTC numbers tie back to

Tolerances on thickness, width, length, flatness, and edge follow EN 485-3:2003 for the marine plate programme. The table shows the standard tolerance bands; tighter bands are available on request, subject to mill confirmation.

§06 — QC VERIFICATION

Independent verification before packing

The producing mill issues EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Our QC re-verifies the goods on our side — independent of the mill’s own inspection. This is the layer that catches mismarked plates, dimensional drift, and surface defects before they go in the box.

Thickness

Micrometer check on every plate / sheet — measurements tied to heat number for traceability against the MTC.

Surface & edges

Visual scan for scratches, dents, edge cracks, water staining. Photograph any piece that fails the line.

Markings

Roll mark, heat number, alloy / temper stamp — verified against the MTC before packing. Stencils re-applied where missing.

Packing inspection

Pallet / skid condition, steel strapping, edge guards, waterproof wrap — all checked before container loading.

Pre-shipment photo

Photo set per shipment (loaded container, markings, goods on pallet) — sent to the buyer for record.

Independent of mill QC

QC is separate from the producing mill’s inspection. Adds a verification layer on top of MTC.

§07 — EXPORT PACKING

Sea-freight packing — what survives the route

Packing for marine freight follows the producing mill’s export standard: wooden pallet / skid, steel strapping, edge guards, waterproof wrapping. Fumigation meets ISPM-15 for entry into most regulated ports.

§08 — ORDER BASICS

MOQ · lead time · payment · Incoterms — the standard envelope

The numbers below are the standard order envelope for mill-direct plate and sheet. If a request sits at the edge of these numbers, ask — most cases can be worked out with the producing mill’s production window.

§09 — DOCUMENTATION

One shipment, one document set

Every shipment leaves with a single document set — the same heat number on the MTC, the roll mark on the plate, and the line on the commercial invoice.
